Early color with season-spanning strength
This early-blooming mix brings lively shades of red, white, purple, and yellow to beds, borders, containers, and window boxes. Its free-flowering, compact habit creates a full display without taking over nearby plants.
Reliable in both heat and cold, these violas are a practical choice for extending color through changing weather. Their excellent overwintering ability makes them especially useful for autumn planting and renewed blooms when conditions improve.
Planting & Care
1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a location with full sun to partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. Space plants 6–8 inches apart, keeping the crown level with the surrounding soil.
2. Watering: Water thoroughly after planting and keep the soil evenly moist while roots establish. Once established, water when the top inch of soil feels dry, avoiding consistently soggy conditions.
3. Pruning: Remove faded flowers to encourage continued blooming. Trim back leggy or weather-damaged growth as needed to maintain a neat, compact shape.
4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer at planting or feed lightly with a water-soluble fertilizer every 4–6 weeks during active growth. Avoid overfertilizing, which can promote excess foliage.
