Planting & Care

Backfill with soil and water thoroughly. Spread a 3" layer of mulch three feet around the tree, pulling the mulch back a few inches from the trunk.
2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist during the first growing season to establish deep roots. Once established, the plant is moderately drought-tolerant, but regular watering during dry spells will promote healthier growth.
3. Pruning: Prune as needed to maintain the desired shape and remove any dead or damaged branches. Light pruning can be done in late winter or early spring before new growth begins.
4. Fertilizing: Use a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to support vigorous growth and lush foliage. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for application rates.
