Peve Tijn is a dwarf deciduous conifer with a tidy, upright habit and soft, feathery green foliage. Its compact size brings the distinctive texture of a larger conifer to smaller yards, foundation beds, mixed borders, or specimen plantings.

In autumn, the foliage develops striking yellow coloring before dropping for winter, adding a bright seasonal accent. Plant it where its fine texture and naturally neat shape can provide contrast alongside broadleaf shrubs and perennials.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a sunny location with moist, well-drained soil. Dig a hole as deep as the root ball and about twice as wide, then backfill and water thoroughly.

2. Watering: Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season. Once established, keep the soil consistently moist, especially during hot or dry weather, but avoid prolonged standing water.

3. Pruning: Little pruning is needed. Remove damaged or crossing growth in late winter or early spring, and lightly shape only if necessary to preserve its compact habit.

4. Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring if growth is weak. Avoid overfertilizing, which can encourage loose growth and reduce its naturally tidy form.
