Planting & Care

1. Planting: Northern Gold Forsythia requires full sunlight in order to thrive, as well as plenty of room to spread as they grow. Plant in well-drained soil by digging a hole large enough to accommodate your Northern Gold Forsythia’s root ball, backfill the soil and water to settle the roots.

If planting more than one Northern Gold Forsythia, be sure to space them at least 4 feet apart.

2. Watering: Once established, Northern Gold Forsythias will still need periodic watering, particularly in warmer climates.

3. Pruning: Prune your Northern Gold Forsythia after it is done flowering to maintain form and shape.

4. Fertilizing: Feed your Northern Gold Forsythia with a fertilizer that's high in phosphorous and prepare for the show. Vibrant blooms will emerge every spring.
