In addition to its beautiful appearance, this plant is both drought and heat tolerant, thriving under the warm Texas sun. Its ability to bloom brightly in full sunlight ensures that your garden remains a cheerful oasis, even in drier months. Whether you're an experienced gardener or just starting, this shrub's resilience and low maintenance needs make it an ideal addition to any yard.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: Plant or repot within 4 weeks of arrival. Choose a sunny spot in the yard with well-draining soil. Dig a hole twice as wide as the root ball to give it plenty of space to grow. Make sure the top of the root ball is level with the surrounding soil.

2. Watering: Water regularly during the first growing season until the plant is established. Once established, this shrub is drought-tolerant, but regular watering during dry spells will promote better blooming.

3. Pruning: Lightly prune in late winter to remove any dead or damaged stems. This encourages healthy growth in the spring and a more vigorous blooming period. Avoid heavy pruning, as this shrub blooms on new growth.

4. Fertilizing: Fertilize with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in early spring to promote robust growth and abundant blooms. Avoid over-fertilizing, as this can lead to excess foliage at the expense of flowers.
