Croton 'Petra' Plant

Vibrant Color Grows Indoors

Why Croton Petra Plants?

Croton Petras are unique house plants that set the bar high: Multiple vivid colors in their foliage, from vibrant yellows and greens to red and purple, impress. The leaves have brighter color veins with contrasting, darker greens in the middle, creating a wow-worthy show of contrasting hues.

Plus, Croton Petras are compact container plants and will thrive anywhere indoors. Keep them on the kitchen table for a showy centerpiece or in the office to liven up a dull room. They can be kept in smaller or larger containers - either way, they thrive effortlessly.

Planting & Care

1. Planting: During the winter months, the Croton Petra enjoys bright light. As for spring and summer, it does well with indirect light and a bit of dappled shade. However, the Croton prefers warm temperatures, so be sure to keep it away from drafty areas.

When you're repotting or planting your Petra Plant, select a container that's twice the width of the shipped container and one that has drainage holes.

2. Watering: Water your Petra Plant lightly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not soggy. Our rule of thumb: Put your finger in the soil to check its level of moisture. There is no need to water your Croton Petra until you have a full inch of dryness starting from the top of the soil.
